Friday night gives us a Bundesliga game and a Serie A game, and both are built around a side that has started the season badly. Stuttgart were beaten 5-1 at Bayern last Friday and sit bottom of the table without a point. Genoa have not managed a league goal at all, losing at home to Napoli and away at Lazio, and Daniele De Rossi spent deadline day bringing attackers in.

Both of tonight’s positions sit in the goals markets, one on each game.

Thursday Result

Thursday’s single position landed. Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo finished goalless at Anoeta, so the Celta Vigo +0.5 Asian Handicap at 1.925 returned a profit, and the goalless first half brought the in-play trigger in alongside it.

VfB Stuttgart v 1. FC Köln (7:30pm UK)

Stuttgart are 1.52 at home, with the draw and Köln both out at 4.80. The xG trend is moderate at a combined 2.38, Stuttgart on 1.09 against Köln’s 1.29, and with one league game played by either side those numbers are still carried over from last season. Sebastian Hoeneß took Stuttgart to fourth last term and has Champions League football to manage alongside the league. Köln finished 14th, and René Wagner’s side opened this campaign by coming from 2-1 down to beat Hoffenheim 3-2, Thijs Dallinga arriving off the bench on loan from Bologna to score twice inside seventeen minutes.
